Seniors
Still bearing fruit. Still showing up. Still the best potluck you've ever been to.
We call it North of 60.
That's the name this crew gave themselves — and it stuck. North of 60 is GateWay's community for the seasoned. People who've walked with God through decades of life and still have a lot to give, a lot to say, and a lot of good food to share. It's fellowship, laughter, the occasional outing, and the kind of friendships that only get richer with time.
Good food, good people,
and no rush.
The heart of North of 60 is the monthly luncheon — a catered meal at the church where people come to eat together, catch up, and enjoy each other's company. Sometimes there's a guest speaker. Sometimes there's a game or activity. Sometimes the best part is just the conversation at your table.
Beyond the luncheons, there are outings, day trips, and seasonal events throughout the year. Jesse and Kristine keep things moving — and fun.
This season isn't
the finish line.
Retirement doesn't mean retreat. The people in this community have decades of wisdom, experience, and faith — and they're still investing it. In each other, in younger generations, and in the life of the church. North of 60 isn't about slowing down. It's about showing up with everything you've got, at a pace that lets you actually enjoy it.
“They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green, proclaiming, ‘The Lord is upright; he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him.’”
Psalm 92:14–15 NIV
